Inventar depressiver Symptome (IDS)

Das Inventar depressiver Symptome ist ein Instrument zur Diagnose einer Depression. Es handelt sich um einen Fragebogen, mit dem typische mit einer Depression einhergehenden Beschwerden (Schlafstörungen, Antriebslosigkeit, Appetitverlust etc.) abgefragt und in ihrer Heftigkeit über ein Punktesystem bewertet werden. Die Anzahl der Gesamtpunkte gibt Aufschluss über den Schweregrad der Depression.

Die IDS ist eine Weiterentwicklung der amerikanischen „Inventory of Depressive Symptoms“, die sich in Fremd- und Selbstbeurteilung aufteilt (IDS-C bzw. IDS-SR).
